When the once heated shed have the heating gradually turned down to allow the chicks to acclimatise and become strong enough to be allowed out side. When they are around three weeks old they will be brought out onto the pastures to naturally feed on the grasses and clovers.
As well as the pastures to forage on the chickens have grain and water available to them out in the fields.
This allows them to grown slowly and naturally whilst giving them the valuable proteins they need to grow strong and healthy.
