Beefy baguette sandwich

Everyone loves a sandwich, especially when it’s not just your everyday ham or egg salad. If you’re looking for delicious sandwich recipe for your lunch, you’re in luck! Cooking Method

  1. Coat the beef rump joint in salt and let it sit overnight in the fridge. 
  2. Rub the beef with Worcestershire sauce and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. 
  3. Start cooking the beef (the Everdure Hub 2 BBQ was used in this recipe) and monitor the temperature. Aim for medium rare (around 55C to 57C). 
  4. Toast the baguette over the coals while the beef rests. 
  5. Mix the English mustard, horseradish sauce, and mayonnaise in the given ratios. 
  6. Slather the toasted baguette with the zesty sauce, add the thinly sliced beef, another dollop of sauce, and finish with rocket.  

The Ingredients

  • 2.2kg beef rump joint 
  • Salt (for the dry brine) 
  • Worcestershire sauce 
  • Pepper 
  • Garlic powder 
  • Artisan baguettes 
  • Rocket 

For the sauce: 

  • 2 parts English mustard 
  • 1 part horseradish sauce 
  • 3 parts mayonnaise
