Succulent, juicy chicken burgers always make a popular addition to any barbecue. If you like a bit of spice this recipe will be perfect for you. The delicious flavours and heat from the buffalo sauce and a homemade slaw to cool down make these burgers a must try and you’ll definitely want to go back for another.

Cooking Method
- Put the chicken thighs into a large bowl. Combine the hot sauce, paprika, maple syrup, vinegar, garlic granules, and butter in a different bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken, toss it, cover the bowl, and chill it overnight.
- The next day, make the ranch slaw by tipping the cabbage, onion, celery, mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, and chives into a medium bowl. Season to taste and mix until everything is thoroughly combined.
- Light the barbecue. Once the coals are ashen, place the chicken on the grill and cook for 8 minutes on each side, basting with the leftover marinade as it cooks.
- If not cooking on the barbecue, cook the chicken under a hot grill for 8-10 minutes on each side, basting with the marinade.
- When the chicken is fully cooked, put half a slice of cheese on each piece and leave to melt for 1 minute. Put two pieces of chicken thighs on the base of each bun, spoon on some slaw and sandwich with the bun tops.

Are chicken burgers healthier than beef burgers?
