How do I grill BBQ kebabs for the best results?

For perfect BBQ kebabs, we recommend starting by preheating your grill to around 240°C to get a great sear and lock in flavour. Place your kebab BBQ skewers on the heated grill and turn over every 3-4 minutes to cook each side evenly, taking around 8-12 minutes complete cooking time depending on the thickness. You can also check the internal temperature – 75°C for chicken, 63°C for lamb, pork, or beef. Finally, let them rest briefly before serving for the juiciest results.

Can you reheat kebab meat?

If your kebabs were previously cooked thoroughly and stored properly, you can safely reheat them. You should have stored them in the fridge within 2 hours of cooking and then reheated them within 1-2 days. Preheating also helps to sear the meat quickly, forming a natural barrier to prevent sticking. We also recommend lightly oiling the grill grates or brush a bit of oil onto the kebabs, as this adds a layer of protection. Let your BBQ kebabs sear properly for a few minutes before turning them, if you try to flip them too early, the meat may stick. Giving them time to develop a good crust, then gently turn with tongs every few minutes for even cooking.
